If you are assigned to write an essay you should first of all clarify what type of essay you are to write, since there are plenty of different essay types.
One of the most interesting essay types is the argumentative essay. Here you are to speak about some controversial point and provide different opinions as for it, but be aware of the fact that you should not stand for some of the opinions, since your duty as an argumentative essay writer to give the objective view on the problem.

The essay types are different. And the requirements to each essay type are different, as well. How to remember all the specific features? How not to mix the different essay types? We can give you a simple advise. Never mind the essay types. Do not care about observing the details. Just write an essay on a given topic, and everything will be ok.
You must be shocked by such an offer. The essay types are very different, and if you do not observe the requirements of a given essay type, you are sure to compose a bad essay. Your teacher will at once find out that your essay does not correspond to the requirements of a given essay type, and you will be punished for it with a low mark.
Of course, you are right. But it is a bother to keep in mind every details, and every requirement. It disturbs you while working, and you cannot focus on your essay. Hence, it is better not to mind the essay type’s features while composing an essay.

You must have noticed that the essays of different types have different requirements to the presentation of the facts. Some of them require you to be formal and serious; others insist on that you should be sensitive and expressive. The details of presentation are also different. For example, sometimes it is enough to develop a single idea during the entire essay, while other essay type wants you to fill the paper with details. And so on, and so on. The essay types are really very different. And they develop your thinking, your mental skills, and your ability to express your thoughts differently.
