The Variety of the Essay Types

If you are assigned to write an essay you should first of all clarify what type of essay you are to write, since there are plenty of different essay types.
One of the most interesting essay types is the argumentative essay. Here you are to speak about some controversial point and provide different opinions as for it, but be aware of the fact that you should not stand for some of the opinions, since your duty as an argumentative essay writer to give the objective view on the problem.
In contrast to the argumentative essay, when you write a persuasive essay you are not only allowed, but you even must convince the reader with your point of view. To do this you may resort to any linguistic tools you like.
There is also one more variant of the essay types that is the descriptive essay. The author of the descriptive essay state some events, experience, feelings, which he or she has gone through and his duty is to make the reader imagine the whole picture of the object described and feel the same.
One more type of the essay is narrative essay. Here the writer provides a narration of some events. This is the easiest type of the essay, since you are only to state the fact, without giving any explanation, evidences, profs, etc.
As far as you can see there are a lot of different essay types, and you are welcome to choose any you like, of course, if it is not specified by your teacher.
