Essays are not all the same. There are discursive essays and descriptive essays, argumentative essays and illustration essay, informative essays and reflective essays, and a lot of other essay types. Essay types presuppose some differences between the papers of unlike type. And every time when you work on your essay, you are required to fix the laws o writing the essay of the particular essay type.
How the essays are subdivided into types? There must be some parameters according to which you can attribute one essay to one essay type, while another essay will be attributed to another essay type. Essays are divided into different types according to the following parameters:
- The academic subject on which the essay is written may influence a lot its attribution to one essay type or another.
- The topic of your essay also plays quite an important role in attributing the essay to some essay type. However, we can notice that more often essay type influences the essay topic.
- The essay structure also depends on essay type. However, we can attribute it to the essay type parameters, as well.

According to these parameters, you can attribute your writing to one essay type or another. However, you have to discover which parameters correspond to which essay type. Otherwise, you will not manage to fix an appropriate essay type.
