I think you know about the variety of essay types. You cannot write all the time in one style – sometimes it is necessary to describe, sometimes the evaluation is preferable. So, it is better to have a guide for essay writing. I want to offer you one of possible writing guides. This guide is based on essay types and their peculiarities.
Let us consider several essay types, which are used oftener:
Argumentative essay
Your purpose is to persuade your readers to accept your point of view. For this you need to find enough interesting and true facts about the topic and present them. You may pick out any way for persuading, just be sure that this move will be worth.
Descriptive essay
Your task in this essay writing is to present a thorough description of the subject and make it in a good way. You may write about the person, animal, room, tree and other possible thing. You can pay attention to its shape, taste and other features, or may just write what you know about it.
Comparison essay
Your goal here is to pick out two objects and make an attempt to compare them. In this process you may use any way: find some differences or by means of comparing find the similarities. Try to prove to your reader the benefits of one subject by means of disadvantages of another one.
Definition essay
Your assignment in this essay writing is to define the chosen topic. You may work with the abstract things and present your own ideas about the subject, or can pay attention to the definitions that are given in the dictionaries and write about them in your essay.
