For long essay types, you should write small outlines. You need to create major points, which you can learn; so, if the question emerges on the test, for sure, you will have confidence and clearness in your answer.
When some sort of the question is not provided, you can create your own essay questions. When the professor highlights particular information, there is a great opportunity that this will be a question, thus listen attentively, turn the repeated material into a question, and then practice writing this answer under timed conditions. It is also recommended to talk with various students on how it is possible to write questions. In good time, you should always ask questions, which may come to mind that belong to the subject matter. How much time do you need to write your paper? Do you have to turn in your pre-writing variants along with your last paper? Should you write on one part of the paper, when skipping each other line? Will your instructor take off some points for grammatical mistakes? About how long must the paper be?
